What was I thinking buying this place? I mean, I love renovating old spaces but this old Victorian was a heck of a lot more than I bargained for, I tell you what. I thought it was going to be some easy fixes, you know, paint on the walls, redo the tile, refinish the cabinets but no – this has turned into the renovation to end all renovations! I’ve been working on the place for about 8 months now and the process only seems to be getting more and more stretched out. The biggest pain, for any of you thinking of going about this yourself, is finding parts and decorative items that match up to the house’s time period and craftsmanship. Apparently they don’t make things the same way they used to!
